Since FreshCut Paper’s inception in 2020, we’ve been committed to reforestation. So far, we’ve funded the planting of over 3 Million trees!
Through 2023, we supported the work of Eden Reforestation Projects in Madagascar: their mangrove estuary connects to an extensive freshwater river system which serves as a habitat for marine life and provides livelihood opportunities for the local community. We’re so honored to have been an integral part of the mangrove’s growth with funding provided for over 2.2 million Mangrove trees.
Beginning in 2024, our new partnership with veritree continues that mission of reforestation and global forest conservation efforts by ensuring the sustainability and transparency of timber products. Through their blockchain technology, veritree can prevent illegal logging and promote responsible forestry practices. This new collaboration has planted another 800,000 trees in Kenya, with over 197,00 tonnes of CO2 to be sequestered as of April 2024.
